Unit7 How much are these socks?

1.詢問價格

1）How much is + 單數商品？

How much are +複數商品？

詢問數量how many + 可數名詞，how much + 不可數名詞

1）你有多少蘋果？

How many apples do you have？

2）你想要多少水？

How much water do you want？

3. socks襪子, shoes鞋, shortts褲子, trousers褲子等都是成雙成對的物品，一般以複數形式出現，作主語時謂語動詞用複數形式。但它們和a pair of （一雙、一副或一對）連用作主語時，謂語動詞要與pair在數上一致。

The shorts are Tom’s。

這條短褲是湯姆的。

The pair of shorts isTom’s。

這條短褲是湯姆的。

4.英美等西方國家的貨幣單位像dollar（美元）、cent（美分）、pound（英鎊）、penny（便士）、shilling（先令）等有單複數變化。我國的貨幣單位元（yuan）、角（jiao）、分（fen）單複數一樣。

△表示貨幣等度量衡單位的詞在句中作主語時，謂語動詞用單數形式。

100 dollars is quite a lot of money for him。

100美元對他來說是相當多的錢。

5.Can I help you?我能幫助你嗎？

此句是主動提供幫助時的服務用語。它的翻譯隨著場所的不同而不同。在飯店：你想吃點什麼？在商店：你想買點什麼？

肯定回答：Yes，please。…

否定回答：No，thanks。（…）

與Can I help you？同義的常用表達還有：

What can I do for you？

May I help you？

Is there anything I can dofor you？

want to do sth。 想要做某事

want sb。 to do sth。想要某人做某事

7. Here you are.給你。

8.It looks nice.它看起來很漂亮。

look“看起來；看上去”，連繫動詞，後接形容詞作表語。

9.I’ll take it. 我買了。

10.表感謝的用語

：Thank you / Thank you very much / Thanks /Thanks a lot / Many thanks。

回答感謝的用語

：That’s all right /That’s OK。 / Not at all。/ You’rewelcome。

11. Come and buy your clothes at our great sale!我們在大甩賣，快來買衣服！

1）come and do sth 來做某事

Come andsee us。來拜訪 / 看看我們吧。

Please come and have dinner with us。請來跟我們吃頓飯吧。

2）on sale 廉價出售

for sale出售

12. We sell all our clothesat very good prices.我們賣的所有服裝價格都很優惠。

at very good prices以合優惠的價格

13. for的用法

1）供……用，給……的

Is this apple for me？

這個蘋果是給我的嗎？

Here is a letter for your mother。

這兒有你媽媽的一封信。

2）作……用（表用途）

Do you need bags for sports？

你需要運動包嗎？

I need a cup for milk。

我需要一個裝牛奶的杯子。

3）就……而言，對於……來說

For lunch， I like hamburgers and salad。

午飯我喜歡漢堡和沙拉。

For girls， we have T-shirts in all colors。

女孩子們可以買到各種顏色的T恤衫。

4）以……的價格（表交換、價格）

You can buy socks for only 5 dollars each。

你可以買到每雙只賣5美元的襪子。

5）for oneself 親自

Come and see for yourself。你親自來看看吧。

14.buy sb. sth. = buy sth. for sb.給某人買某物

buy my mother a sweater

= buy a sweater for mymother

給我媽媽買了件毛衣

△sth若是代詞，只能用buy sth。 for sb。 如：

buy it for him
