由上述文章可知：of是“就。。。。而言”，而about是“上下左右圍繞。。。。”，所以know about，與know of相比，前者知道程度深、掌握資訊多，瞭解更透徹。

比如，you know of it 指you heard about it but you do not necessarily have a lot of information about it。

而you know about it指you have studied it or taken an interest in it， and understand part or all of it。

【例句1】We know of the incident but have no further details。 （我們聽說這件事，但沒有進一步的細節。）

【例句2】The president admitted that he did not know of any rebels having surrendered so far。 （總統承認，到目前為止，他沒聽說有任何叛軍投降。）

【例句3】Hire someone with experience， someone who knows about real estate。 （聘請有經驗懂房地產的人。）

【例句4】She didn‘t know anything about music but she liked to sing。 （她對音樂一無所知，但她喜歡唱歌。）
