1 SCOPE

This Part of GB/T 33983 specifies the test items and test methods for power generation performance and environment adaptability of the direct methanol fuel cell system (DMFCS), classifies the DMFCSs of different power levels into two classes, i。e。 Class I and II (see Table 1), and distinguishes the test items required for the two classes。

The power generation performance and environment adaptability test items and test methods set out in this Part include:

a) Power generation performance under specified operating conditions, e。g。 output voltage, output power, startup time, and fuel consumption;

b) Power generation performance under special operating conditions, e。g。 power generation after disuse;

c) Environment adaptability under specified operating conditions, e。g。 high temperature, low temperature, high humidity, low humidity, drop and vibration。

This Part applies to the direct methanol fuel cell systems fuelled with methanol or methanol water solution with a rated power 1,000W。

The performance test methods for the direct methanol fuel cell systems with a rated power 1,000W may refer to this Part。

The diagram of a typical direct methanol fuel cell system boundary is as shown in Figure 1。

3 TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

For the purpose of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 20042。1 and GB/T 28816 apply。

4 REQUIREMENTS

4。1 General

The DMFCS performance assessment shall be considered from the following two aspects:

Operation: test the system’s power generation performance during normal and transient operation。

Environment: test the system’s environment adaptability under specific environment。
